Hesse-Reynolds Sales has sales coverage in all of upstate New York. Our headquarters, warehouse, central sales and administrative office are in Orchard Park, N.Y. 
In addition to the industries we call on and sell to, we also support our principals by calling on architectural engineering firms, mechanical contractors and control panel builders that support these industries as well as the municipal water and waste water business in Upstate New York.

The primary Original Equipment Manufacturers in New York State are manufacturers in the turbine and compressor market [SIC 3563/3511]. These include 3 Dresser-Rand plants, 1 Cooper Turbocompressor plant, GE and Atlas Copco.   There has been significant change over the last 2 years in the utility business structure in New York State. Under Public Service Commission guidance all the major upstate utilities, Niagara Mohawk, New York State Electric and Gas [NYSEG] and Rochester Gas and Electric [RG & E] have been forced to get out of the generating business. NYSEG has sold 5 fossil generating stations to AES. Niagara Mohawk has sold their nuclear generating stations and 2 of their fossil plants [Huntley Station in Buffalo and Dunkirk Station in Dunkirk] to Eastern States Power.   Olin Chemical, DuPont, Occidental Chemical, Goodyear Chemical, Schenectady International, GE Waterford and GE Selkirk are the major chemical processing plants in New York State. There are also numerous small plants: F M C Chemical, Elf Atochem, Evans Chemicals, Jones Chemical etc.   Bristol Meyer Squibb, Wyeth-Ayerst Labs, Quest International, Proctor & Gamble and Medeva Pharmaceutical are the major pharmaceutical companies in Upstate New York. International Paper [Ticonderoga, NY and Corinth, NY], Solvay Paperboard, Finch-Pruyn, Lyons Falls, Appleton Paper, Champion International, Encore Paper, are major and minor mills that process material into finished paper goods. I-P, Finch Pruyn and Appleton, and Champion International are also pulp mills.
